Gloster Society In 2007, we launched the Hugh M. Gloster Society. Named in honor of one of MSM's esteemed founders and late president of Morehouse College, the Gloster Society was established to help grow philanthropy and to enhance our knowledge of unrenowned generosity to the Institution. Any donor who gives $1,000[i] or increasingly in a 12-month period is automatically a member of the Gloster Society. Brown Vanguard Award: Honoring HealthSuperintendencyChampions In 2009, MSM established the Louis C. Brown Vanguard Award. The ribbon is named in honor of the late Atlanta internist and a founder of MSM. The VanguardRibbonrecognizes individuals whose pioneering spirit and demonstrated leadership have impacted issues of health disparities in Georgia and the nation. Inaugural VanguardRibbonrecipients were A.D. "Pete" Correll, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation and retired chairman of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, and Michael B. Russell, CEO of H.J. Russell & Company and member of the Board of Directors of the Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation.     2018 VanguardRibbonRecipient - Kaiser Permanente Kaiser Permanente has been a loyal partner of Morehouse School of Medicine for most of the Institution’s lifetime. Its unfurled support has enabled MSM to provide scholarships, grow educational programs, expand our clinical outreach and develop innovative research programs. Launched in 2017, Kaiser was the lead partner in the establishment of the Undergraduate Health Sciences Academy. The UHSA is a strategic response to the growing need for health superintendency professionals in underserved urban and rural communities wideness Georgia, designed to add highly-skilled professionals and diversify the work pool. In addition, Kaiser Permanente’s strategic giving has helped empower the Satcher Health Leadership Institute to wilt a preeminent health leadership institute and a gravity in creating global health equity. Kaiser Permanente has moreover helped our students thrive through their unfurled support of scholarships.
